Letter	Dear Sunset Commission, As a citizen of Texas, I hope you share my concerns about our broken health care system. Too many Texans cannot afford their medical bills despite having health insurance. As you review the Texas Department of Insurance, I believe that Texas would be better served if 1) The Texas Department of Insurance had the ability to block insurance companies from making excess rate increases. 2) The Office of Public Counsel conducted periodic review of all health insurance rates to ensure that rates are affordable for Texans and that insurance companies aren't making excess profits. 3) That insurance companies are not be allowed to deny people insurance based on previous conditions.
