Put the Brakes on TXDOT

TEXANS CALL FOR STRONG LEADERSHIP IN THE HOUSE

There are a number of bills headed to the House which contain loopholes that will open up Texas’ roadways to private investment by permitting TXDOT to avoid upholding public protections from these harmful private toll road deals.  Sign our petition to tell the House leadership to listen to the will of the public, and stop letting TXDOT call the shots.

Under no circumstances should the House vote to pass HB2929 and related bills.

Texans have made it clear that they do not trust TXDOT and they do not want their public roads privatized.

Even with amendments and compromises, the pending legislation contains so many misleading clauses and too much ambiguous language that even new versions of these laws will not ensure that the public will be protected.
